Just got this and I'm very pleased. I saw a review said the fingerprint is iffy. You can do up to 20 fingerprints and they even recommended doing multiple copies of the same fingerprint. That makes sense and so far it's worked on 4 different fingerprints continously. Well cushioned and well built.

This lockbox has its flaws, and I'm sure with tools and a little effort someone could pry into it fairly easily, but it's fantastic for the price and more than enough to protect the weapon from kids or to inconvenience and delay a thief at the least! The interior and locking mechanism are very nice, the foam is of decent quality, and the box itself is highly portable. It fits my M&P9 Shield M2.0 and an extra mag perfectly, though I don't know how well it will work for anything much bigger than that. Overall, if you're looking for a portable and affordable lockbox to hold a compact or smaller firearm I would recommend this one.

Shipped very quick but signature required and they don’t tell you that when ordering so it took a few extra days and a trip to fedex store to get it since they never deliver when we are home. Product is nice solid heavy design would be even nicer if hinge was internal. Dual latch holds well. Print reader has work at least 50x so far no issues used with multiple fingers. Worst feature is the security cable seems like an after thought. Cable is good quality but the slot it goes in is a joke and very sloppy fit. Could have easily been done so much better there is double thick metal below slot why not use it? Cable will pull on cover, latches and hinge just a poor design. Overall for the price point it’s nice I wanted #pad and biometric unlike previous version only has key and biometric so if biometric fails key only other way to get in. NOT RECOMMENDED. This thing worked fine for about 3 weeks then when I was ready to deploy and needed to open it, it would just flash purple then blink red 5 times. The fingerprints and codes were right, the lock simply stopped opening. It was like it was trying, but the lock was just frozen shut. Lost all faith in the product and company after that. Had to go home to find the backup key, so it completely and utterly failed its purpose. Buy this at your own risk. You might think you're saving money over other brands, but this thing definitely failed on me, and I fear it may fail on you in your time of need. If it didn't completely destroy my confidence, it would have been a very nice portable safe. Very strong thick metal build, spacious enough for a large full-sized pistol like a 1911, though that is not what I was using it for. And the fingerprint reader seemed to be quick and reliable. The locking mechanism, though, made all that fancy tech into a dumb physical key ONLY box. AVOID. USE ANY OTHER SAFE, NOT THIS ONE.

Opens with ease… My dogs tried to open it, without success!!!

This is the second RPNB safe I’ve purchased. The first an RFID and the second this bio safe. The first has worked so well I decided to get the bio safe for my truck. So far it’s worked flawlessly. It was very easy to program and I’ve had zero issues with the fingerprint reader… not a single time has it not opened the first time. I spent several hours after it arrived just messing with the bio reader waiting for it to fail to open but it never did. It’s not overly bulky but has plenty of room for my p365 and 2 magazine's or my 1911, or my uberti 1873 single action with 5.5 barrel. Unless one of my 2 RPNB’s epically fail it’s the only brand I’ll buy, use and trust for my 2A storage.

The first one I ordered, was missing the entire mounting kit and had to return it. I reordered another one and I’m a little confused with the setup. I’m having difficulties setting up the fingerprints and code after inserting the batteries. I’ve tried to reset the original code to program my own with no luck. I think I’ve followed the instructions in the booklet. And the pre-set code only opens sometimes. For now, I’m mainly using the keys to open and close it. I do like that it has a light inside but, other than that I’m not sure about this safe. I may return this one as well if I can’t program the code and fingerprint.
